, aquatics specialist for over forty years, is a professor of physical education and athletics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York. She is a World Masters swimming and synchro champion. Dr. Katz received the International Olympic Committee’s FINA Certificate of Merit to honor her dedication and contribution to the development of the sport of swimming during the 2000 Olympics. She has served as a member of the Disability International Foundation, USA Swiming starts and turns, and a series of progressive workouts designed to increase the athletes strength and stamina.
