George Plimpton is the author of many books including Paper Lion. Founder and editor of the Paris Review, he is New York Citys Honorary Commissioner of Fireworks.

Biography

With an uncommonly varied oeuvre that includes poetry, criticism, essays, short stories, and novels, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner John Updike helped to change the face of late-20th-century American literature. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Updike graduated summa cum laude from Harvard in 1954. Following a yedition includes a new story from The Best American Short Stories 1999 to round out the century, as well as an index including every story published in the series.
